10 cm 'popped' Tragophylloceras sp ammonite - Golden Cap, Jurassic coast.

A near complete nodule containing a Tragophylloceras ammonite that has been popped and lightly prepared so that the two sides still fit together. The ammonite measures 10 cm across it's widest part. Found at Golden cap, Seatown on the Jurassic coast. 

 

No restoration or repairs, some preparation was attempted on the top of the nodule prior to 'popping' 

 

Lower Pliensbachian, Stonebarrow Marl Member, Charmouth Mudstone Formation, Green ammonite beds.
