11 cm translucent ammonite bed with Xipheroceras and others - Charmouth Beach
A unique piece of Woodstone measuring 11 cm across it's widest part. Containing Xipheroceras, Promicroceras and Cymbites ammonites, the reverse of the matrix covering each ammonite has been tunnelled into to show the colourful calcite when a light is shined behind it - this effect could also be achieved by placing the piece on a sunny windowsill.
No restoration or repairs.
