15 cm translucent ammonite bed, Xipheroceras and others - Charmouth Beach
A small Septarian piece which has been prepared down to the calcite at the back to show some translucency when held up to the light. Measuring 15 cm across it's widest part including the matrix. It contains Xipheroceras, Promicroceras and Cymbites ammonites,
No restoration or repairs, the reverse has been reinforced with glue due to the fragility of the calcite.
Lower Pliensbachian, Stonebarrow Marl Member, Black ven marls, Flatstone bed.
