  • RESERVED Apoderoceras sp. Charmouth beach, Lower Pliensbachian

A uncommon 16 cm Apoderoceras found on Charmouth beach, Jurassic Coast, Dorset, UK.  Some decent spines and a relatively good centre, a great example of a one of the rarer ammonites found on the Jurassic coast. It has a few partial belemnites, brachiopods and a smaller partial Apoderoceras are trapped in between some of the spines. It does have some crushing to the outer whorl which is quite typical preservation and can be seen in the photos. Has had no restoration.

    The matrix measures: 17 x 17 x 8 cm
