24 cm large Bechiceras body chamber piece, Charmouth, Jurassic coast
A 24 cm section of a large broken Bechiceras ammonite, covered in Androgynoceras ammonites, gastropods and bivalves. Prepared so that none of the limestone matrix remains on the front - all the way into the cats paw which is shown on the inflated part of the large ammonite. The largest ammonite measures 6 cm. From the Green Ammonite beds - found on Charmouth beach.

Lower Pliensbachian, Stonebarrow Marl Member, Charmouth Mudstone Formation, Green ammonite beds.
