27 cm Multi ammonite bed with Asteroceras and others, from Charmouth beach
A unusual and special piece packed with uncommon Asteroceras margaratoides, Xipheroceras, Cymbites and Promicroceras. From the Xipheroceras nodule horizon. Preserved in calcite and pyrite. Measuring 27 cm across it's widest part.
When found the piece was broken into 3 pieces - it has been glued back together and some of the break has been filled. There has been no restoration to the ammonite bed.
