A imaginative sculptural piece containing a beautifully preserved 8 cm Androgynoceras lataecosta ammonite, the limestone around it has been carved from the original matrix - found on Charmouth beach. The nodule which was naturally broken in nature - measures 21 cm across it's widest point

 

No restoration, freestanding on a cut base. 

 

Lower Pliensbachian, Stonebarrow Marl Member, Charmouth Mudstone Formation, Green ammonite beds.
