Oistoceras figulinum, with Ichthyosaur, Lower Pliensbachian ammonite, Charmouth
This unusual piece shows a 5 cm Oistoceras figulinum ammonite inside the body chamber of a larger Bechiceras ammonite - the top of the Bechiceras ammonite has some tiny Ichthyosaur teeth which were washed in to the body chamber prior to fossilisation. It was found on Charmouth beach and is from the Green ammonite nodule bed.
